necessity, who is also the mother of reinvention

I'm a Creative spirit enthralled with the art and science of website composition and open source software development. A late bloomer in adopting computers as a hobby; I was first engaged by pc's and graphic development in 1997 when I purchased my first computer on a monthly payment plan. The return on investment has been a 12 year career in IT which includes; help desk support, WAN/LAN administration, application development, and IT management.

As an artist, web developer, technology hobbiest, cancer survivor, I started my own web design business out of necessity. After having survived cancer in 2003, then losing my ability to walk and job as a result of the cancer treatments, I had the necessity and opportunity to reinvent myself.

I began to teach myself web and graphic design. Through this, I found freedom and empowerment in graphic art and poetry. Both of which I had not previously explored.

Since then I have had a successful art show, where my graphic art pieces were exhibited and sold. My poetry has been published in an anthology of international poet's and recieved accolades. And mentored the thriving J!Research project for Joomla!™ during the 2008 Google Summer of Code.

Neri.us is about empowering minds through art and technology. My goal is to continue to create, artistic yet functional websites, empower the client, and stimulate the minds' of all those who view my works, no matter the medium.
